Chabane sends condolences to Mbuli family

Pretoria - Minister in The Presidency for Performance Monitoring and Evaluation, Collins Chabane has extended condolences to the media industry at large, colleagues at the SABC and most importantly to the Mbuli Family and friends for their loss.

On Sunday, Chabane learnt with shock about the passing away of a renowned SABC television and radio presenter, Vuyo Mbuli. Mbuli is reported to have died at a Bloemfontein Hospital.

Minister Chabane, who is on an official trip in China, has reacted with shock and sadness after learning of the news of Mbuli.

Chabane who is responsible for government communication described Mbuli as a pioneer of the country’s airwaves who still had an incredible journalism journey to travel.

He further said he was still looking forward to more interactions with him on both SABC's Morning Live television programme and on SA fm.

"The media industry has lost a giant who used his interviewing skills to get his guests to respond adequately to questions that both his viewers and listeners wanted to hear. He conducted his interviews professionally and with great intellect.

"I further call on young and aspiring journalists to strive for excellence as Mr Vuyo Mbuli did, he has left his mark and walked his journey with pride. May his soul rest in peace!" Minister Chabane further said. – SAnews.gov.za
