Pretoria - President Jacob Zuma has sent birthday wishes to German Lekekela, who turns 100 years today.
"You have not only witnessed the birth of our country's liberation, but also experienced the great strides we have made in improving the lives of our people as we also celebrate our 20 years of democracy,” President Zuma said on Monday.
Lekekela is a resident of Kroonstad in the Free State province.
“It is my hope that this special day evokes many cherished memories and fills you with great happiness and fulfilment," said President Zuma.
He also sent messages of congratulation to all South African citizens, who reached their 100th year milestone. – SAnews.gov.za
