AbaThembu Chief Mtirara passes away

Pretoria - Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (Cogta) MEC in the Eastern Cape, Fikile Xasa, has sent his condolences following the death of Nkosi Daludumo Mtirara of the AbaThembu nation in the OR Tambo District Municipal area.

The provincial Cogta Department on Friday said Nkosi Mtirara died on Thursday night.

MEC Xasa described the late Mtirara as “a man with the potential to contribute to the unity and stability of AbaThembu nation and the country as a whole”.

“His death is a loss to all of us. On behalf of the Eastern Cape government, I would like to send heartfelt condolences to the Mtirara family, relatives, next of kin and the entire AbaThemnbu nation for the loss of their loved one.” - SAnews.gov.za
