Pretoria - As Women's Month draws to a close, the Department of Small Business Development will later this week celebrate business women who succeeded against all odds over the last 21 years.
This event will seek to pay homage to successful women while giving a platform to women in small businesses and cooperatives to share and gain insight for building competitive businesses for the future.
Key participants in the event to be held on Friday, in Pretoria, will include prominent women in key leadership positions in business, government, civil society and academia.
“The Department of Small Business Development would like to recognize these women as an example and inspiration to many others,” said Minister of Small Business Development, Lindiwe Zulu.
The session will also recogniae business innovation by women who have made a difference in society; link female entrepreneurs with market opportunities available as well as help increase the uptake of women incentives available for SMME’s and Cooperatives and create awareness of funding opportunities.
In addition, relevant government agencies, financial institutions and vendors will exhibit and impart vital knowledge. – SAnews.gov.za
