Limpopo drums up support for Bafana

Tuesday, October 14, 2014

Pretoria - Limpopo Premier Stanley Mathabatha has urged South Africans to come in their numbers to cheer on Bafana Bafana when they face Congo in the second leg of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier match.

The match will be played at Peter Mokaba Stadium tomorrow in Polokwane. Kick-off is at 8:05pm.

Tickets for the much-anticipated clash are selling for R50 and R100 and can be purchased at Computicket outlets, Shoprite, Checkers and Shoprite/Checkers stores countrywide.

“We urge people to buy tickets as early as possible and come out to the stadium in large numbers. We want to see Peter Mokaba exceeding the numbers we saw in Brazzaville over the weekend. That means buying tickets in time,” he said.

Bafana defeated Congo 2-nil in the first leg of the qualifier match played last Saturday in Pointe Noire to take lead of Group A with seven points.

Mathabatha welcomed the two teams, who are already in Polokwane and further thanked the leadership of the South African Football Association (Safa) for taking the Afcon qualifier match to Limpopo.
